John Burns is self-performing all underground utility work and supporting site electrical services for the CyrusOne Elwood Data Center, working under the direction of Gibson Electric and Clune Construction.
Scope of Work
- Excavation, concrete pouring, and backfilling for all electrical and telecommunication duct banks
- Stub-up conduit installations into the building at POE (Point of Entry) rooms
- Conduit installation within the duct bank system
- Layout of all trenches
- Excavation and installation of power and telecommunication vaults
- Construction, forming, and pouring of racks and 90s for transformers
- Conduit proofing and pulling inner duct through telecommunication conduits
- Excavation and concrete work for light pole foundations
- Splicing and standing of site lighting
- Trenching and backfilling for site lighting, security conduits, and the building ground ring
