Dish Network Site and Tower Builds

John Burns partnered with Dish Network to complete a series of new site and tower builds across Chicago and Northwest Indiana. This complex project required close coordination with multiple union subcontractors—including roofing, masonry, electrical, ironwork, and carpentry trades—as well as ongoing communication with property owners and landlords to ensure minimal disruption and respectful site management. Many of the rooftop installations presented unique logistical challenges, including the need for helicopter lifts during narrow shutdown windows. Our team carefully scheduled each phase of the project to align with these requirements, while maintaining clear communication with the client throughout.

• Brought electrical and fiber conduit to high-rise rooftops by routing through each building’s electrical chase
• Transported materials to rooftops via manual carry, crane picks, or helicopter lifts depending on site access
• Constructed and installed all site sectors (Alpha, Beta, Gamma) according to Dish Network’s specifications
• Fully commissioned and integrated each site post-construction to ensure readiness for network traffic
