John Burns Construction is proud to support the T5@Chicago III project—under the direction of Gibson Electric and Clune Construction—by self-performing the underground utility and assisting with the site electrical services.T5 Data Centers is developing T5@Chicago III, a premier 250,000-square-foot, three-story data center located in Northlake, Illinois which will provide 36 megawatts of IT capacity.

Scope of Work

  • Excavation, concrete pouring, and backfilling for all electrical and telecommunication duct banks
  • Stub-up conduit installations into the building at POE (Point of Entry) rooms
  • Assisting electricians with conduit installation throughout the duct bank system
  • Excavation and installation of power and telecommunication vaults
  • Construction, forming, and pouring of concrete racks and 90s for transformers
  • Conduit proofing to ensure system integrity
  • Excavation and concrete work for light pole foundations
  • Splicing and erecting site lighting
  • Trenching and backfilling for security and site lighting conduit
