John Burns Construction Company completes the demolition of two steel and concrete mezzanines including the complete removal of old boilers, condenser tanks, exhaust stacks and miscellaneous piping.

• Phase 1 consisted of the demolition of two (2) 500’ long steel & concrete mezzanines including the complete removal of old boilers, condenser tanks, exhaust stacks and miscellaneous piping.
• As a cost savings to the owner, John Burns Construction used the crushed concrete from the mezzanine demolition to backfill ten (10) abandoned manufacturing pits and capped them with concrete slabs.
• Through close coordination with the Owner, John Burns Construction was able to complete the project within budget and in time for an upcoming manufacturing project.
• Installation of the “Voice of Metra” communication system at all five locations.
