Located at the northwest corner of the Dallas Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121), John Burns installed 2,400 LF of electrical duct-bank and 7 manholes.
The Challenges
- All duct-banks were installed in hard rock at depths up to 20 ft.
- Work had to be completed in conjunction with massive earthwork activities for the Campus style development.
- The area’s rock hardness and excavation depth required the use of one of Caterpillars largest excavators – Cat 390.
